Emma has always been surrounded by magnolias—the trees her grandmother once called "flowers of eternal love." Under their branches, she wrote her first stories, listened to music, and dreamed of the future. But after a tragic event, Emma lost her voice and, with it, her sense of self. Now, the only way she can express her emotions is through letters she hides inside books in her family's old bookshop.

Liam, a former musician, returns to the town where he grew up. As a child, he and Emma used to play beneath the magnolia trees, but time pulled them apart. Now, working as a restorer, he is hired to renovate the very bookstore where Emma spends her days, unaware that the girl he once knew is still there.
